​We are a family of 5 (two adults and 3 children ages 10, 8, 8). We are not a full time traveling family. We have a permanent home, our kids our in public school, and are involved in sports. We have jobs that are not related to travel or social media, in fact we work in manufacturing. We just really love to travel as often as we can. There are a lot of families in this middle category (one I am so grateful to be in). Parents that  still want to work traditional jobs, but  want to travel with their kids to see as much of the world as they can.​

 

Social media gives me anxiety….so much so that I often delete the apps off my phone and only download them once a day to see what my friends or family are up to (or check the 15 random memes or videos my siblings send to our family group on Instagram). I do however, love traveling and often that requires ton of research on my end through social media and blogs. I spend hours and hours planning the trips we go on. Since I rely so much on doing research before trips (i.e. googling for hours), I thought it would be helpful for other families to read some of our suggestions and tips.

 

We are not a full time traveling family. We just travel a lot.
